Makenna Mae

Lead Vocals

With a western soul and Wisconsin roots, Makenna was born and raised in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, where she began singing for as long as she can remember and began playing piano at just three years old. Though Grand Union is her first time being in a band, her journey in music has taken her to some unforgettable places.

Some of her favorite career highlights include performing with Kermit the Frog in the 2008 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, performing live on the Today Show as part of a singing competition to be in the Broadway production of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” and singing the National Anthem at Fenway Park in Boston.

Makenna has also experienced the music industry behind the scenes, working in Nashville as a Talent Department Assistant for the CMA Awards, where she worked alongside the biggest names in music and specifically supported Brad Paisley,  Carrie Underwood, and their teams for the week of the show.

By day, Makenna works in marketing, while her passion for music extends beyond the stage as an official spokesperson for XRoads41. As an extension of the festival's team , she supports content creation and artist interviews, connecting fans with the artists and experiences that make live music special.

Outside of work and music, Makenna enjoys life with her husband, Josh, their son, Weston, and their Mini Whoodle, Motley.
